Spanish Homework

Hola. Me llamo Vanessa. Vivo en Sheung Shui. Me gusta porque es una ciudad tranquila y moderna. Hay muchos centros comerciales y parques. Hay una plaza muy grande. También hay una piscina, es muy grande. Normalmente voy al parque y hago ciclismo. Cuando hace buen tiempo, voy a la piscina. Este fin de semana, el domingo, voy a ir de compras con mi madre y padre.

In ICT, we learned how to make our own comics. Me and Clare made this comic with many ideas. We had lots of fun doing it!

Mis vacaciones de Semana Santa va aser un porquito aburrido.

Los lunes voy a ir al cine.

Los martes hacer ciclismo.

Los miércoles mis amigos va a venir a mi casa, vamos a tener una barbacoa! Mmmmm!

Los jueves hacer natación.

Los viernes y sabado van a ir de compras con mi madre, mi padre y yo. ¡Que aburrido!

Los domingo voy a ir a la playa con mi familia.

Todos las noches en mi dormitorio escuchar música, juego con mi ordenador y dormir.

No me gusta nada hago mis deberes, porque muy aburrido y es vacaciones!

Spanish Homework

¿Que deportes haces?

Me llamo Vanessa. No me gustan nada los deportes. Hago atletismo en el inicio de la clase de educación física, porque es muy cansado. Los viernes, a las cinco, hago natación. Juego al fútbol porque es muy interesante. No me gusta patinaje y esqui porque muy difícil. Escucho musica, hago mis deberes y duermo en mi dormitorio.

The Internet

Today in IL we were talking about the internet. How it works and it's functions. We are focusing on packet switching, network of networks and TCP / IP. The real reason for doing this is to learn about taking notes. Here is my rewritten work from my notes. 

When someone takes a photo and they want to upload it on the internet, your laptop connects to the network, and it will send the photo to other networks. It then sends it to the computer you want to send it to. When the computer is located, they send the photo using the IP address. When the packet gets transferred, it will be sent in a matter of seconds. The packets can take any route to networks, but it will try to find the fastest and easiest way.

In ICT, we are learning a new unit on comics. I chose Garfield as a example of a comic.

Podcasts

I am going to tell you how to listen to podcasts and get all the updates all in one site. 

1. Open your internet browser i.e. Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer
2. Search "podcast" on your search bar
3. Click on a podcast link where you can subscribe to them
4. Click on a podcast that you prefer to listen to
5. Copy the podcast RSS URL link
6. Open another tab (if you want to)
7. Search "google reader" on your search bar
8. Click on the first link
9. On the left top corner, click on "add a subscription"
10. Paste RSS link
11. Click "add"
12. FINISH! You can now get all the new episodes from that podcast!

Unit Reflection

I learned many things in this unit, I learned what a blog really is and what is the purpose for having our own blog. A blog is like your own website, that other people can see. In a blog, I learnt that you can embed many things in it, including YouTube videos, LibraryThing and more! In this unit, I think the most challenging part was embedding things on the blog. Next time what I could do differently is to pay a little more attention in class so I won't forget my homework.

What I Do

I don't only go to school everyday, I have other things to do. For example:

Art- I like art because it relaxes me when I draw.
Swimming- I like swimming because I can be active while I swim.
Listening to Music- When I am bored at some point, I listen to music.

5 Useful Search Tips

• While searching, keep everything simple.
• Make your keyword specific. 
• Do not search long sentences
• Don't always rely on one site, check other sites too
• Read the descriptions before going on to the site

DON'Ts on the Internet

Blogging is a free way of posting what ever you want. But some people blog inappropriately. Here are some examples that people do on their blog:

- List personal information

- Insulting other people (cyber bullying) 

- Putting their own picture of themselves

The Internet allows you to search what ever you want. We have to be really careful on what we are looking for, if we are not careful, there might be some inappropriate stuff or viruses that might be bad for your computer.
